Overworked & Underpaid

A satirical editorial exploring the exhaustion of the modern corporate grind.

I put Sadaf Alidadi back in the red room to tell a story about corporate exhaustion. She is wearing an oversized black blazer and a messy white shirt, looking like she just finished a 20 hour shift. To make the point clear, I used a black briefcase and a bright red Tim Hortons coffee cup as the only props. The story is about the "hustle culture" that leaves people feeling drained and undervalued. I kept the lighting moody but sharp, making sure the red of the cup matched the background perfectly to show how the subject is being swallowed up by her work environment. It is a simple setup that captures the exact moment when coffee is the only thing keeping you moving.
