Sit for Who?

A portrait of model Cindy Ashley using a single chair to challenge traditional sitting poses against a textured gray backdrop.
I put Cindy Ashley in front of a cold, textured gray wall with nothing but a single white wooden chair. The story here is right in the title: "Sit for Who?" Instead of sitting properly, Cindy leans over the back of the chair, using it as a prop to support her weight while stretching out one leg to create a long, sharp line. I used a textured background to add some grit to the scene, making the clean white chair and Cindy’s black outfit stand out. The lighting is soft but directed to catch the details of her expression and the strength in her pose. It’s a reminder that you don’t have to follow the expected rules to look powerful; sometimes, the best way to use a seat is to not sit in it at all.
